I know Teenage mutant ninja turtles are a bit played out,(Thundercats, Justin lee collins, Legend! blah blah.) but nobody mentions the first film. It was actually quite good and dark enough to hold your attention. This clip proves my point to some degree...

Super Mario Bro's as a film was amazing. It gets shit reviews because those too attached to the game felt it was an unrealistic depiction of its 8-bit inspirer.
They were wrong, its impossible to compare a film adaptation of a computer game against its original format. however flawed the details, story and narrative of the film are, it was a staple viewing from my youth.
OOZE II was also great (mutant Shredder!!)
