LIKE A FLOWER OF GREAT BEAUTY IT CONTINUES TO GROW

Wimpy, the very British burger chain that fought a long hard battle with the American franchises in the 1980s and lost, has decided to up sticks to South Africa and the Arab Emirates. The difference being, that they now make fried chicken, pizza and coffee. I wonder if these new territories will have the "Bender in a bun" burger available on their menu?

Above a young CUPCAKE 2000 lookalike is advertising a Wimpys special offer during those halycon days of the 1980s. Before the British public took offense to the notion of a circular frankenstein frankfurter in a bun.

The last Wimpy i can recall seeing was about a decade ago just up the street from Crewe station.

Their burgers had the ill salty favour.

The only thing I remember about Wimpy was beating up the Wimpy guy at friends Birthday's.
