People still go clubbing. It's a regional thing... Also, this program was made during the peak years of 'superclubs' like Cream, Ministry, et al. Destination type places, full of hedonistic promise and sweaty chemistry.
I used to stay up late to watch this program when it was on ITV. Felt like peeking into the inaccessibly mysterious world of adulthood, not just the sad parade of hopeless gurners that it really is. Also, the other presenter they had was a proto-WAG FHM 90s babe thing. She probably wore Acupuncture shoes and had a furry boob-tube. I can't quite remember. Worth watching when you're 13.
Extra wack brownie points: the song at the beginning of the second video - I Feel Good Things For You by Daddy's Favourite. Still have the copy i bought from HMV with my pocket money...
